Happy Birthday to us!

Danilo and I both turned 31 the last week of March! It definitely feels better to turn 31 than 29. I guess psychologically it feels better to be in your early thirties than in your late twenties. Our friends Laura and Jeremy Pope hosted a game night and we had tons of fun with some of our friends! We played games and ate delicious food. One of the games was a karaoke and dance game on the Wii.

The boys took care of the meat. We ate churrasco with chimichurri sauce and sides. Yummy!!!
Here is Jordan busting out his moves while Sarah sings. They got the highest score! Go Glancys!!
Mic check... Danilo and I get ready to sing...

Here is our American Idol moment. Wait...what is that in Danilo's ears?

Now it's his turn...

Kassi, Sarah and Jordan

Cindy and Ariel really went all out, coordinating their dance moves and singing. They are real experts...is this what they do in their spare time? Looking good Cindy!
Jordan and Sarah, the newlyweds. Awwww...

Kassi stepped out for a second to pick up Brooklyn. Then it was Barry's turn to do a duet with Ariel..."When you look me in the eyes, and tell me that you love me". I think this was torture for both of them, although you can't tell from the picture since Ariel seems to really be enjoying this.

Our birthday cake. Sorry it's sideways...
And last but not least a video of us singing Happy Birthday! As you can tell from the video, we thought we were posing for a picture. Very funny Jeremy, turns out we look like fools! LOL

Thank you Jeremy and Laura for making this birthday so special. We had an awesome time!!

Anthony's first Temple trip

Anthony turned 12 in December and this was his first time in the Temple (aside from the time we were sealed). We were really excited! Since the Temple is only one hour away, our ward does youth temple trips a couple of times a year. This one was on a Friday after school. They normally meet at the church, carpool to the Temple, and then head back at night. It was a neat experience and I was happy to be part of it. These are some of the pictures:

This is before we went inside, in the entrance of the Orlando, FL temple.

This is a group picture of the youth that went.

On the way back, the boys rode back in the Patrick's van. The bishop and his wife had bought dinners from Firehouse Subs.

I took this picture on our way out! I had never had the chance to take a picture of the Temple at night. The lighting is always so beautiful and I was happy to have this opportunity.

Easter Eggs!

Natalia had an Easter egg hunt on the last day of school before spring break! Unfortunately, it started pouring rain right when it was time to hide the eggs...

Thankfully, the media center specialist let Mrs. Cannon hide the eggs in the Library. The kids waited patiently while the teacher told them the rules. Nati was really excited! Look at the cute baskets the teachers made out of milk gallons!

Off she goes...look in the shelves, above the shelves, and in between books...

Now lets count them and make sure we all have the same amount..."one, two, three...mami, look at all the pretty colors!"

Now the long walk back to the classroom..."I can hardly wait to see what is inside my eggs".

We had another Easter egg hunt at the park last Saturday before general conference. Here is Lauryn swinging at the park before it's time to look for eggs.

And Nati...

Ready...set...go!

Apparently, a squirrel got a hold of this one before Lauryn did!

Anthony considers himself to old for this, he was just tagging along...and eating the candy!

Bayside, Bungy Bouncing and Family

Since the kids were out of school, I took the kids to Miami to see the family.

Here is a picture of us at Bayside, with a shrimp from the restaurant Bubba Gump.

A picture of a one man band...
The kids went bungy bouncing. It was the highlight of their day!
Here is Lauryn...

Here is Natalia...
and here is Anthony...

Then we went to my grandmother's house and visited with family. This is my sister, Karin!
with Nati...
and somehow, I can never say no to her "funny face picture" requests.
Here is Lauryn with the cousins...

Dania Beach

Karin and I wanted to take the kids to the beach and she suggested Dania Beach! I had only been there once and I was a small child then, so I remember very little.

I know this is corny, but hey give me some slack my name is not very common. I decided to have a little fun with it!

Here are some pictures of the kids at the beach. We had fun building sand castles, bathing in the beach and eating. It was very relaxing and fun at the same time.

This is my youngest niece, Kailynne.

Highway view of downtown Miami. Does not do the city justice. Miami has a beautiful skyline.
